Dr. Ariel Gunitskiy
Dr. Ariel Gunitskiy is a graduate of Western University's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) on multiple academic scholarships.
Dr. Gunitskiy genuinely enjoys meeting people, helping patients restore their smile and teeth to be fully functional, pain-free and cosmetically pleasing. He gets enormous satisfaction out of helping people to overcome their ‘fear of the dentist’ and become regular attendees. Dr. Gunitskiy prides himself on developing good rapport with all his patients, knowing that the best way to make patients feel comfortable is for them to establish a trusting relationship.
One of Dr. Gunitskiy's core strengths is his ability to listen and understand what his patients desire, so that together they can achieve the perfect smile using the most non-invasive and realistic treatment modalities available to them.
Dr. Gunitskiy is passionate about keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements and improvements in the field of dentistry and he frequently attends continuing professional development programs. Along with being a personal satisfaction, it always helps him serve his patients with the best and most up-to-date treatments available-- it's a win - win situation for everyone.
Passionate about providing the highest possible standard of care, Dr. Gunitskiy is known amongst friends and colleagues alike for being a perfectionist. Patients treated by Dr. Gunitskiy benefit from comprehensive care and treatment plans. That means that he doesn't just soothe the symptoms, but resolves the root cause (excuse the pun!). He loves creating not just beautiful smiles, but healthy smiles that can last a lifetime. He likes being honest and open with his patients about their oral health, and understands that education is key. Rest assured that your care will always be provided with patience, precision and the utmost skill, just as we would expect to receive ourselves.
Dr. Gunitskiy and his wife live in London with their 4-month-old daughter. Outside of the practice, Dr. Gunitskiy enjoys being active… outside! From tennis to skiing, skating to hiking. Most of all, Dr. Gunitskiy loves creating memories with his family! He is a true believer that family should always come first, and prides himself on treating each of his patients as if they were family.
Dani - Hygienist
Dani started her dental career more than 20 years ago as a dental assistant. This career was her steppingstone into the fascinating world of dentistry. Dani was so passionate to learn more about helping patients achieve their very best oral hygiene that she decided to go back to school to become a dental hygienist. As a hygienist, Dani brings with her almost 20 years of compassionate care and excellence in oral care education. Dani’s wealth of experience also helped her master the skills necessary to perform a very thorough, yet comfortable, hygiene scaling. Her patients always complement her for having the best hygiene appointments they have ever had. Dani is enthusiastic and enjoys meeting patients and their families and she also enjoys being a part of a collaborative dental team.
Outside of work, Dani is a country girl at heart and lives on a small farm just north of the city. She grows her own vegetables and is known among her friends and family for the elaborate dishes she makes. Dani is a big sports enthusiast: hockey, baseball, football – you name it. She enjoys walking, reading, and snowshoeing. Her biggest weakness is animals and she refers to her two rescue dogs as her new babies. Some day she hopes to convert her farm to a huge animal rescue
Caitlin - Office Manager
Wife to Dr. Gunitskiy, mom of two, and the office manager at Gunitskiy Family Dentistry, Caitlin is one that wears many hats. Caitlin was born and raised in London and is a graduate of Western University with her Bachelor of Science in Health and Medical Sciences. Caitlin has a heart of gold and genuinely enjoys seeing patients smile with bright, new confidence! Caitlin’s fun-loving nature and witty sense of humor are just a couple reasons why patients love her!
Caitlin strives to make sure every patient not only feels comfortable and has an awesome experience, but that they are also very informed about their treatment options and loves guiding them in their journey to a bright, confident smile.
Caitlin enjoys being outdoors, swimming and… organizing? That’s right! Caitlin is a master organizer, with a colour-coded closet to show for it!
Amanda - Administrator
Amanda is one of the newest rockstars to Gunitskiy Family Dentistry. She was born and raised in a London, and earned her Medical Office Administrator Diploma with Honours from Medix College. Amanda is energetic, friendly and kind – her positive energy and enthusiasm are absolutely contagious. Amanda has an incredible talent in understanding others, culturally, and emotionally and is applying everything she learned and knows towards her goal to provide a genuine experience for each of our patients—one they can look back on and SMILE.
When asked what she enjoys the most about working at Gunitskiy Family Dentistry, Amanda says that the encouraging and supportive work culture along with the unparalleled patient experience provided daily by each team member is what truly sets them apart.
In her free time, Amanda looks forward to spending quality time with her husband and her two children. Amanda is an avid walker and runner. She also enjoys swimming, drawing & painting, and designing her own t-shirts for friends and family.
Joan - Dental Assistant
Joan joined the Gunitskiy Family Dentistry in 2005 and is the longest serving member of our team. Joan really enjoys working and talking with patients to help them feel comfortable while achieving better oral health. She finds dental assisting interesting and rewarding and enjoys meeting new patients as well as catching up with old ones.
Joan lives in London with her husband and enjoys spending time with her four children, grandchildren, and grand-dogs! She likes going for walks with her family and friends and reading in her spare time.
Shelley - Dental Assistant
“Hi! My name is Shelley and I graduated from the dental assisting program at Fanshawe College in 2010. Soon after I decided to enter the beauty industry where I worked as a licensed hairstylist for 10 years.
I have been graciously welcomed back into the dental field by Dr. Ariel and his team. What remains the same is my passion for ensuring that every patient feels welcomed, comfortable, well taken care of, and most importantly excited to come visit us! Our culture at the office is to take care of each other. With a great team to back each other up, we are able to provide the best dental care in London and the surrounding area!
When I’m not at work you can find me spending time with my one-year-old daughter and husband, going for walks, and checking out new local restaurants!”
